My dream is to one day have a home on the beach, where I can wake up and take leisurely morning walks then fill my days with gardening, cooking and entertaining, occasionally be pampered with massages and facials, and then spend my evening wrapped up on the sofa with Scott.

    WHO I AM:
Photos: Smoky Mountain Vacation 2002, and a shot of me, Christmas 2005.

Oh my gosh, that has got to be the hardest question to answer. I guess more than anything, I consider myself to be laid back and easy to get along with. It takes a lot to get my feathers ruffled, but when they are I can be relentless with my anger. I think I'm smart, though I do have my blonde moments, and I love multi-tasking and being organized. I think I'm a good listener and conversationist but my mouth gets me in trouble from time to time. I love life, though I don't think I live it to it's fullest. I think I'm funny, though it takes time for someone to understand my humor.

One love that I have had all my life is music. My oldest memory of this passion is listening to the am/fm radio when I was 5 and singing along to Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song. I have always prefered listening to music than watching TV. In my younger years you would always find me in a night club that had a live band, instead of partying at someone's house or going to football games or the mall. Now that I'm older I still surround myself with music, with several media players on my computer, surround sound on the entertainment center, a jamming system in my car, and an Ipod that I carry everywhere I go. I can listen to any style as long as it's "real" and the lyrics are not degrading to women. And I still love it LOUD! I want to hear and FEEL every note.

My other passion is dancing. I do not understand how a person can hear music and not move! I can remember myself around the age of 12 and my nephew Lee who is 4 years younger than me, creating new dance moves and routines to different songs to perform for my sister and husband. Momma had me in every type of dance class that our town offered, from ballet to disco and I was always on a stage somewhere performing a dance routine or singing. Later when I was old enough to hit the clubs I was there every night dancing to every song, no matter if it was a disco club or a metal concert. It's what I lived for! While I was living in Charleston SC in 1995, I started training then teaching ballroom dance at an Arthur Murray's Studio. 2 years later I moved to Pensacola Florida and started working at the Fred Astaire Ballroom Studio there, which is when I met my husband Scott, another dance instructor. But things changed and Scott and I both moved on to other jobs (I now teach Esthetics) and the professional dancing stopped. However, recently Scott and I have signed up for a few dance lessons at a local studio just for the fun of it. So no matter what time of day it is, if you peeped into my windows you could catch me singing and dancing away to whatever song was playing.

    Some of my favorite quotes:

  • People who think they know everything are annoying to those of us who do.
  • Procrastination on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
  • Cancel my subscription because I don't need your issues.
  • Don't breed them if you can't feed them
  • Keep honking, I'm reloading.
  • I brake for tailgaters.
  • People who claim they don't let little things bother them have never slept in a room with a single mosquito.
  • As long as the prerequisite for that shining paradise is ignorance, bigotry, and hate... I say the hell with it." "Inherit the Wind" (which pitted the teaching of evolution against creationism)
